19/07/2018
At the Lea SME Award 2018, Dr. Walser Dental was once again awarded with the title "Socially Committed". The employees and the managing director Senator Daiger are pleased with this appreciation.
At this year's Lea SME Award in Baden-Württemberg, 290 medium-sized companies applied for the SME Award for Social Responsibility in Baden-Württemberg in 2018.
The Lea SME Award (Lea as German shortcut for: Performance Commitment Recognition) from the Ministry of Economics, Labor and Housing Baden-Württemberg is being awarded together with Caritas and Diakonie in Baden-Württemberg. It recognizes the voluntary, social and public commitment of small and medium-sized enterprises. All companies in the state with a maximum of 500 employees were able to apply for the SME Award for Social Responsibility in Baden-Württemberg.
Minister Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut: "Also this year, the many impressive CSR activities show why the business location of Baden-Württemberg has a bright future. The recognition with the Lea Award should be an incentive to keep combining economic success with social responsibility."
Regional Bishop Prof. Dr. Jochen Cornelius-Bundschuh: "Sustainability and attention to social and, above all, global issues are important today for responsible corporate governance. The Lea SME Award rewards companies that take these issues seriously."
Bishop Stephan Burger: "It is indispensable to get involved where you live and work, as do the companies that are here today. They are often pioneers and role models of responsible corporate governance."
In a festive setting, the prizes were recently awarded in the New Palace in Stuttgart in front of 400 attendees from politics, church and economy. Public recognition of small and medium-sized enterprises' performance should encourage companies to continue their commitment and take new initiatives.
